Dzongkha for Android version 6.0 & above

All the mobile phones with android   version 6.0 and above have built-in Dzongkha rendering support. Therefore, you only need to install Dzongkha keyboard.

Installing a Dzongkha Keyboard

Installing Google’s Gboard

Google’s Gboard has Dzongkha keyboard and it can be installed and setup easily with few steps. It is also free of any advertisements.

Step 1: Click on the link: https://gboard.app.goo.gl/uUbV and click on install

Step 2: Click on “ENABLE IN SETTING” to select Gboard in languages & input settings. Enable the Gboard by tapping on the enable button

Step 4: Click on “SELECT INPUT METHOD” to slect Gboard as your default input method. Tab on Gboard to make it the defualt keyboard. Click on “Done” to finish the setup.

Step 5: You can switch the keyboard (between English and Dzongkha) by clicking on the globe icon. You can also choose different themes from by clicking on settings icon.
